The Ordinance amending and supplementing Ordinance No N-18 of 2006 on the registration and reporting of sales in retail outlets by fiscal devices, on the software requirements for their management and on the requirements for persons making sales through online stores has been promulgated.

The amendments are related to the introduction of the euro as the national currency in the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as to the expansion of the functionalities of electronic fiscal memory devices registering sales at retail liquid fuel refilling outlets. The amendments provide for the total amount due for payment to be displayed in the fiscal receipt in another currency different from our country’s currency. The amendments regulate the generation of electronic fiscal receipts when operating with electronic fiscal memory systems. The amendments enable the parallel operation of two types of electronic fiscal memory systems of different manufacturers/importers in one retail outlet for sales/refilling of liquid fuels and provides for the option to generate an electronic receipt when operating with integrated automated systems for business management.
